Michael Krieger

Michael has been on the leading edge of information technology and security for over 45 years, pioneering factory automation in the 1970s by creating MRP software for the apparel industry. He has since held executive positions in marketing, product management, business development and market research while employed by technology leaders such as Hitachi, AST Computer and FutureLink.

Michael also served as VP of the Ziff Davis Market Experts where he created content and provided his unique perspective for a who's who of IT, Biotech, and Legal tech companies.

Michael has been a speaker at numerous trade shows including Interop, CES, CloudSlam, and Blade Server Summit. He contributes to several technology websites and publications, and blogs on digital event marketing.

Mel Beckman

Mel Beckman
Mel Beckman operates an IT technical consultancy specializing in design and implementation of large-scale, resilient networks supporting complex multi-user applications, including 5G cellular, IoT, LP-WAN, satellite, and Cloud communications. Mel has over thirty years industry experience, specializing in application system design, computer and network security, data center infrastructure, operating systems architecture and internals, programming languages, and local- and wide-area networking. He assembles multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex IT infrastructure, bringing subject matter experts together with project engineers to provide start-to-finish planning, implementation, and ongoing support.

Mel is widely published in the Information Technology literature and speaks frequently on technical topics ranging from operating system internals to Internet security and performance to embedded systems. His past clients include Apple Computer, the City and County of Santa Barbara, The City of San Francisco, DuPont Displays, IBM, Loral Federal Systems, United Airlines, the US Department of Agriculture, and the US Department of Energy. He has presented seminars on computer programming and network technology throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Mr. Chohan is a leader in Software AG's emerging technologies practice and is responsible for the overall technical leadership and strategy for IoT projects in North America. He has extensive experience in leading cutting-edge technology engagements using Industry 4.0 concepts, with a passion for driving business efficiency and automation. His area of focus includes building smart ecosystems of clients and partners to conceptualize and design smart solutions using IoT, AI/ML, Edge Computing, and blockchain.

Prior to joining Software AG, Mr. Chohan worked in various disciplines including software engineering, cloud computing, and project management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Information Technology from George Mason University with a concentration in cyber security.

An experienced product manager, Deepak is skilled in Big Data Analytics, Product & Program Management, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), SDLC, Telecom, Internet of Things, and Mobile Payments. A strong product management professional, Deepak holds a Master of Science (M.S.) focused in Electrical Engineering.

Syed Z Hosain

Mr. Hosain is responsible for the architecture and future direction of Aeris’ networks and technology strategy. He joined Aeris in 1996 as Vice President, Engineering and is a member of the founding executive team of Aeris. Mr. Hosain has more than 38 years of experience in the semiconductor, computer, and telecommunications industries, including product development, architecture design, and technical management. Prior to joining Aeris, he held senior engineering and management positions at Analog Devices, Cypress Semiconductor, CAD National, and ESS Technology. Mr. Hosain is Chairman of the International Forum on ANSI‐41 Standards Technology (IFAST) and Chairman Emeritus of the IoT M2M Council (IMC). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA.

Lou Lutostanski

Lou Lutostanski
Vice President, Internet of Things

Lou Lutostanski was named vice president, Internet of Things (IoT) for Avnet in March 2017. In this role, he works across the company to identify and create opportunities to leverage Avnet’s capabilities and expand the company’s reach and expertise to entrepreneurs, startups, leading technology OEMs and other IoT innovators, enabling them to bring IoT solutions to market, from idea to production. He reports to Pete Bartolotta, Chief Transformation Officer for Avnet.

Lutostanski has more than 30 years of experience and industry knowledge. He joined Avnet in 1987 as a system sales manager. Throughout the next 13 years, he gained increasing responsibility as a field application engineer, sales manager, branch manager, and vice president, area director. Lou left Avnet in 2000 and spent 12 years at Motorola/Freescale where he served as the global vice president of sales covering Hewlett Packard and Motorola, and then as vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas. Since his return to Avnet in 2013, he has served as vice president of sales for the Americas and as vice president of demand creation for the Americas.

Lutostanski graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and earned an MBA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He resides in Austin, Texas.
