Summary

Cost has always been a concern for IoT applications at scale. Now that LTE-M and NB-IoT have been deployed by several of the major carriers, upcoming IoT deployments have the option to use these new technologies that offer lower module costs and longer battery life.

To enable the massive growth of IoT expected in the coming decades, keeping operating expenses low for large IoT deployments is critical. The LTE-M and NB-IoT protocols were crafted specifically with machine-to-machine communication in mind, and each offers a unique set of characteristics that can be valuable for sub-sets of IoT applications. We will help you understand what types of IoT deployments are well-suited for these technologies, and what types would be better suited to higher data rate solutions. In this webinar, you will learn:

  • What are the key differences between LTE-M and NB-IoT, and how do they compare to standard LTE?
  • Based on cost, power needs, and range, what types of deployments are best suited for LTE-M and NB-IoT? What types would be better off with standard 4G LTE?
  • How can I best leverage LTE-M and NB-IoT technologies to ensure the quality of IoT deployments for reliable connectivity and optimal costs?

Join us for this LTE-M / NB-IoT webinar, “LTE-M & NB-IoT: Reduce IoT Connectivity Costs with Wireless Technologies built for Machines” where we define each protocol, the benefits, and discuss various use cases.
